Study
The student body of the Institute counts over 650 students inclusive of 50 PhD students and 400 full-time students. The Institute has been hosting foreign students from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and other countries.

Opportunities for students
The teaching activities at the Institute are held by the best academicians and legal practitioners who share their work experience both inland and abroad. Training takes place in well-equipped classrooms. Students and PhD students have access to modern scientific laboratories, the Library and Information Center of Sumy State University, as well as medical services at the University Hospital. All students are provided with places in dormitories and access to different objects of sports infrastructure for full and comprehensive development. Academic and Research Institute of Law actively contributes to the internationalization of the educational process. All our students have opportunities for getting practical experience, internships, and participation in academic mobility programs in the best educational institutions in Europe, Asia, and North America. In particular, among our permanent partners are the University of Foggia (Italy) and Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" (Bulgaria) where our law students take internships and obtain double Master's degrees.
Staff and ranking positions
The academic staff of the Institute counts 47 legal scientists and practitioners who work on grant projects, participate and win different competitions. The overall teaching staff have obtained scientific degrees; among them are 12 Doctors of Juridical Sciences.
