The student body of the Institute counts over 2,000 people, including 200 PhD students and 1,000 full-time students. The Institute hosts students from more than 15 countries of the world.

Opportunities for students
BiEM features a perfect intercultural hub, a constructive space for personal and professional growth, and a center of creativity and innovative teaching methods. Leading Ukrainian and foreign academics work at the Institute. Training takes place in well-equipped classrooms, coworking spaces, VR studios, and economic profile laboratories. Students and PhD students can benefit from using the modern library of Sumy State University which grants either test or full access to such resource databases as Scopus, WoS, Research4Life, Coursera, Grammarly, Springer eBooks 2017, etc.
BiEM actively fosters the internationalization of the educational process and provides opportunities for internships and student academic mobility in the best educational institutions in Europe, Asia, and North America. Both our teachers and students regularly take part in international educational COIL-programs which allows them to share the virtual classroom with students from all over the world.
All students and PhD students of the Institute are provided with places in comfortable dormitories, whereas the campus infrastructure creates a home-like atmosphere and brings a good mood.
An indoor athletic arena, 3 indoor swimming pools, gyms, and playing fields allow students and PhD students of the Institute to keep on achieving high sports results or to spend their free time with health benefits.
Staff and ranking positions
The academic staff of the Institute counts about 200 leading economists who conduct research and work on grant projects, participate and win different competitions. Over 95% of the academic staff have obtained scientific degrees and academic titles; among them are 40 Doctors of Economic Sciences.
Our achievements
