Sumy State University boasts the largest sports facilities among the educational institutions in Ukraine. These include the sports complex "Palace of Student Sports of Sumy State University", three swimming pools, a beach volleyball center, stadiums, sports grounds with artificial turf, shooting ranges, playgrounds and gyms, a water-rowing base, a skiing center, and the sanatorium complex "Univer". 

Almost all sports facilities of Sumy State University are located within the main campus or in close proximity to the city center.  

The sports coaches are experienced English-speaking staff members of the Sports Club and the Department of Physical Education and Sports. They willingly provide students with advice and recommendations on sports activities available at Sumy State University.
